Education and Training

UC Berkeley graduated 1994 with honors

Majoring in molecular neurobiology

Emphasis in bioethics and public policy.

Conducted bench top genetics and protein research in internship at National Institutes of Health

UC Irvine College of Medicine graduated 1998 with life membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society

Became interested in neurology and psychiatry during the “Decade of the brain”

Studied meditation and transpersonal psychology with Roger Walsh, MD, PhD

Received additional training in addiction as professional in residence at Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA

Stanford Psychiatric Residency graduated 2002

- Supervising the Santa Rosa Health Center weekly Psychiatric Consultation clinic

ANKA/Casa Rohnert Park Crisis Residential Unit, 2006-2019

- Consultant psychiatrist to 6 bed residential crisis unit for Kaiser members
